Who we are

Phoenix is a small group of dedicated, experienced and professionally qualified people who have all worked in the field of child protection for a number of years. We are energized by the need to be able to respond quickly to need rather than maintaining long waiting lists, and over time we have been concerned about the sometimes slow, bureaucratic and impersonal approaches of larger agencies.

What we do

Phoenix exists to promote child protection, assesses those thought to be a risk and provides treatment programmes for those that are a threat to children. We also treat vulnerable adults and advise other agencies.

Our vision

Phoenix has a vision of the future where the innocence of all children – regardless of background, race or religion – is cherished, protected and safeguarded from exploitation and abuse.

Our mission

The mission of Phoenix is to use our expertise to help abusers live offence-free lives, young victims to retain childhood innocence and families to rebuild hope for the future.

Our core principles

We care about the people that we work with – both victims and perpetrators – and we treat each person as a unique individual, not a statistic.

  • In return, we expect those we are helping to be open and respectful.
  • We believe that every person has the potential for change within themselves.
  • To be effective, we recognise the need for discipline when working with those who would abuse.
  • We are totally committed to our work and we expect that same commitment from those we are trying to help.
